When Larry Charles reports a murder in the apartment above, the police see Charles as their main suspect. Charles conducts his own investigation to prove himself innocent.With the help of his girlfriend, Peggy, Larry uncovers a connection between the victim and organized crime.His intrusion into their world reinforces the authorities belief in his guilt, and provokes the Syndicate into putting a contract on Larry and Peggy.Charles and Peggy are continually thrown into the face of danger as they evade capture by the police, while outwitting and out-shooting the gangsters.They come to realize Detective Joe Farnum is the only one who can keep them alive.
